Thermal surveys are used to identify problems within the plant, during a survey scan are taken of the plant’s critical locations. With this information the plant can make informed decisions to keep operation at a safe and optional condition. This information can also be used to plan for upcoming maintenance.
Reformer surveys are preformed during operation to give the user an overview of how the reformer is preforming. With this survey we can identify problem areas of the radiant tubes, some of the issues are flame impingement, catalyst issues, and flue-gas distribution issues. During a survey we also look at the burners to identify potential issues. Some of the issues that can be identify are plugged tips, over-firing, misalignment and after burning.
